NOTAS: | "Electrical and electronic devices, equipments and systems must be able to function satisfactorily in their electromagnetic (EM) environment, without introducing intolerable EM disturbances to anything else in that environment. Now that legislation is in place, it is even more important that electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) should be an integral part of the production, design and development programme thus avoiding the need for expensive, less effective retrospective action. This report provides guidance on the reasons for incompatibility, the design measures which can be taken to minimise and control interaction and noise generation and improve immunity, and on measuring techniques which can be employed to demonstrate the success of such measures." |
