NOTAS: | "The European institutions produce a wealth of data covering the entirety of their policies, actions and operations. Being able to navigate and exploit this wealth effectively is valuable not only to policy makers but to everyone. The goal therefore is to establish a space where all project data can be placed so that it is readily available. This study proposes to investigate how the linked open
data (LOD) approach can help to accomplish this goal. This study will help to demonstrate the power of data integration via LOD and provide a baseline for public administrations, to build their LOD strategies and against which to evaluate their move towards enabling the ‘web of data’ for knowledge generation. It will help in understanding the bigger picture in the successful deployment of LOD, and provide scenarios for how the EU institutions can improve their services or create new innovative services via LOD." |
