NOTAS: | This study was carried out for the European Commission by IHS Markit, OMDIA and Point Topic "The Broadband Coverage in Europe study is designed to monitor the progress of EU Member States towards the specific broadband coverage objectives set out in the Digital Agenda for Europe – namely: ‘Universal Broadband Coverage with speeds at least 30 Mbps by 2020’ and ‘50% of households should have broadband subscriptions of 100Mbps or more by 2020’. The Digital Agenda objectives were further expanded in the 2016 Connectivity for a European Gigabit Society measures, which include broadband connectivity target of ‘Universal connectivity offering a downlink of at least 100 Mbps, upgradable to Gigabit speed by 2025." |
