NOTAS: | "Wireline broadband access equipment revenues in 3Q13 increased 3% sequentially to $1.4bn but were down 22% from the year-ago quarter. On a sequential basis, DSL equipment revenues rose 15% due to strong VDSL/VDSL2 shipments. PON equipment revenues gained just 1%. CMTS revenues fell 11% sequentially even though Cisco had a strong quarter. Spending in all three segments was down from the year before: CMTS by just 1% and DSL and PON by 25% and 26% respectively.
Rolling 4-quarter equipment revenues were $5.7bn, the lowest since 2009. Among the top 10 vendors on a rolling 4-quarter basis, Cisco, Alcatel-Lucent, and Adtran gained the most share, while ZTE posted the largest market share drop. Both Alcatel-Lucent and Adtran improved their respective market share rankings within DSL." |
